Get Unstuck from Anxiety & OCD
Compassionate, evidence-based therapy for children, teens, and adults in NYC
Helping you feel more in control of your life
You might be someone who generally has things together. You’re responsible, capable, and used to handling things on your own, but internally, things feel harder than they look. Your mind might be constantly racing, second-guessing, or getting stuck on certain thoughts. Maybe anxiety, OCD, or health concerns are taking up more space in your life than you want them to, or you’re navigating stress in work/school, relationships, or parenting and feeling overwhelmed behind the scenes.
I work with children, teens, and adults who want to understand what’s going on internally and learn how to respond differently. Many of my clients are high-functioning and accomplished, but feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, overthinking, or avoidance that are hard to break alone. Using a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach, we work together on changing how you relate to those thoughts and urges so they have less power over your day-to-day life.

Steps to Getting Started:
1
Reach out here to request a free, 15-minute phone consultation. This is an introductory phone call to hear about your concerns and explore whether we are a good fit. Before deciding to work together, I will ask you some questions about what you are looking for and also welcome any questions you may have about my approach and style. If we agree that we might be a good fit, we will discuss scheduling the intake session. Once scheduled, I will send you new patient paperwork via a secure online system.
15-Minute Consultation
2
This initial 60-minute session is a comprehensive diagnostic assessment where we will more deeply explore your current challenges, relevant history, strengths, and what you hope to get out of therapy. For child and adolescent clients, this intake is done in two parts, with a separate parent and child meeting. With your consent, I may also reach out to other providers (e.g., psychiatrist, school staff, etc) to get a more complete picture. After completing the evaluation, I will share my initial diagnostic impressions and a proposed treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. If either of us determines after this initial meeting that we are not a good fit based on my expertise or style, I will provide you with recommendations for other providers.

Ongoing therapy sessions are typically 45-minutes and occur on a weekly basis, though longer or more frequent sessions are occasionally recommended. A weekly session time is agreed upon during the intake process but can be rescheduled if circumstances change. We will collaborate on treatment goals during the initial sessions and then check in on progress regularly.
